Glassify’s Brewing a Semiconductor Beer Glass

Israeli start-up Glassify joined the IoT revolution and introduces the first beer glass integrating a semiconductor chip. The beer glass allows consumers to connect the glass to the smartphone using NFC technology.

According to the company the new beer glass allows consumer to enjoy a more personal drinking experience buy following drinking habits and consumption volume enabled by the NFC chip which is integrated in the glass.

The Glassify smart glass, currently being tested in the US and Israel, could tell pubs and restaurants more about individual drinkers, such as if they are regulars, how long they tend to stay and how many drinks they have.

The new bar experience is also allowing beer manufactures to get real time updates on beer consumption quantity per city and per country and therefore can improve and optimize their production supply line to answer real time demand.
