FPGA Firmware Engineer / FPGA Design Engineer

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking an FPGA Design Engineer to join its Global CAD team, focusing on the development of FPGA firmware and embedded software for cutting-edge wireless products. This role is pivotal in advancing 5G innovations and enhancing connectivity solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop FPGA firmware and embedded software using industry-standard tools and technologies.
• Design and implement critical firmware for custom emulation hardware.
• Contribute to the continuous development of tools, technology, and workflows.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in ASIC design, verification, validation, or integration, or equivalent qualifications.

Skills:

• FPGA design and firmware experience.
• Proficiency in System Verilog, RTL/HDL, and FPGA tools (Xilinx, Intel).
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills for independent work and customer-facing applications.
• Experience with C++ and Python, as well as Linux/Embedded Linux environments.
• Knowledge of ARM-based designs and Linux device drivers.
• Familiarity with protocols such as AXI, PCIe, I2C, LVDS, and Ethernet.
• Understanding of Agile project management principles and tools like Git and JIRA.
