Job Description:

Positron.ai is a pioneering company focused on developing custom hardware systems to enhance AI inference efficiency. We are seeking a Lead Emulation Engineer to spearhead our pre-silicon validation strategy, ensuring our AI Inference ASICs are optimized for performance and reliability before production.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the end-to-end emulation strategy for next-generation AI Inference ASICs.
  • Oversee the multi-site build process for emulation targets, ensuring synchronization between design and software.
  • Manage builds and deployment of the Palladium Z3 cluster, including job scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Act as the primary technical liaison between ASIC Design/DV teams and the System Software team.
  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a specialized team of emulation engineers.
  • Develop transactors, monitors, and complex testbenches, and create a comprehensive emulation test plan.
  • Lead debug sessions using Palladium’s advanced capabilities to resolve SoC-level issues.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in ASIC/SoC verification or emulation, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Deep experience with Cadence Palladium systems (Z1, Z2, or Z3) and knowledge of IXCOM/Dynamic Emulation interfaces.
  • Proficiency in SystemVerilog/UVM for emulation-ready testbenches.
  • Strong understanding of high-speed interfaces (PCIe, CXL, DDR5) and AI-specific data flows.
  • Comfortable with scripting languages (Python, Tcl) for automation.
