Job Description:

Etched is at the forefront of AI chip development, creating specialized ASICs that significantly outperform traditional GPUs in throughput and latency. We are looking for a Product Engineer to spearhead the silicon validation and productization of our advanced AI accelerator chips, ensuring high-quality production and efficient transitions from engineering to manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute silicon characterization from initial silicon to production release, including voltage-frequency-temperature characterization and production limit setting.
  • Lead test cost optimization while maintaining quality standards.
  • Architect test flows to balance test time, coverage, and yield objectives for complex AI designs.
  • Drive yield improvement initiatives through data-driven root cause analysis using statistical tools.
  • Establish and track key quality metrics such as DPPM and test escapes.
  • Perform die/package level bring-ups and troubleshoot failure modes in collaboration with design and operations teams.
  • Support OSAT bring-up and manage ATE/SLT manufacturing test program releases.
  • Productize test programs for smooth transitions to high-volume manufacturing.
  • Analyze field return data to identify test coverage gaps and improve screening methods.
  • Drive ATE-system correlation activities to validate test program accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 5-10+ years of hands-on experience in silicon validation and ATE test development for advanced node semiconductors.
  • Proven track record in yield optimization and DPPM reduction with quantifiable results.
  • Experience with silicon characterization methodologies and high-volume manufacturing test experience.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in yield and fail pareto analysis using JMP, Exensio, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of test program debugging and yield enhancement techniques.
  • Scripting and automation skills in Python, Perl, or TCL for test data analysis.
