Staff ASIC Design Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Oversee definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development.
• Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
• Define module interfaces/formats for simulation.
• Lead the development of multidimensional designs involving complex integrated circuits and subsystems.
• Utilize system tools like Cadence Virtuoso for design, simulation, and verification.
• Evaluate process flow from high-level design to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.
• Write semiconductor specifications for ASICs and perform lab verifications.
• Support development of test plans for hardware and software in high-volume production.
• Analyze equipment to establish operation data and conduct experimental tests.
• Review vendor capabilities to support development.
• Select testers and vendors, and support the development team for volume production preparation.
• Analyze statistical results and improve test times and yields as needed.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of relevant experience in electrical or computer engineering or a related discipline.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related engineering field.

Skills:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting technical specifications and presentations.
• Proficient in circuit simulation tools and design tools.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to design experiments, analyze data, and conduct structured problem solving.
• Ability to interface with customers and work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
