Staff FPGA Engineer [Future Forward]

We are seeking a Staff FPGA Engineer to join our Future Forward engineering team, focusing on the development of cutting-edge electronics for our robotic systems.

Responsibilities:

• Lead technical design on project teams for new surgical robotic systems and accessories.
• Implement FPGA designs using System Verilog for video signal processing, DMA, high-speed communications, sensor integration, motor control, and embedded computing modules.
• Verify designs through simulation and hardware testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for product integration, debugging, and support pre- and post-launch.
• Document design specifications and verification protocols.
• Support quality and regulatory processes.

Qualifications:

• Expertise in Verilog and SystemVerilog for synthesis and verification, with strong RTL design principles.
• Extensive experience in FPGA and front-end IC design, including architecture and optimization.
• Deep understanding of FPGA architecture, design methodologies, timing analysis, and debugging techniques.
• Proficient in FPGA design tools like Vivado, QuestaSim, and Chipscope, with experience in workflow optimization.
• Skilled in scripting languages (Python, Tcl, Perl, Shell) for automation and design flow enhancement.
• Experienced with version control systems (Git, SVN) for project management.
• Strong communication, presentation, and technical documentation skills.
• Proficient in C/C++ and MATLAB for modeling and system-level design.
