Woodcliff Lake, NJ — January 8, 2026 — CAST, a leading provider of high-performance semiconductor IP, today announced that BAE Systems has licensed CAST’s Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) IP cores. The selection underscores CAST’s growing role as a trusted supplier of deterministic Ethernet solutions for demanding and safety-critical applications, while marking another milestone for CAST’s TSN technology.
The TSN IP platform from CAST provides deterministic Ethernet operation, ultra-low latency, and robust traffic scheduling compliant with IEEE 802.1 standards. BAE Systems selected CAST’s technology due to its proven performance, configurability, and suitability for long-lifecycle programs that demand reliability and maintainability.
CAST’s TSN IP portfolio has been adopted by customers worldwide for automotive, industrial, medical, and aerospace applications that require guaranteed timing, low jitter, and reliable Ethernet connectivity.
“Defense and aerospace innovators like BAE Systems demand low-risk IP cores that are ready for high-assurance, mission-critical systems,” said Alexander Mozgovenko, CAST product and sales engineering manager. “We’ve supplied IP cores to BAE Systems for over a decade, and we’re honored that the company has again chosen CAST for this TSN solution.”
Sourced from Fraunhofer IPMS and proven in TSN interoperability plugfests and multiple customer products, CAST’s TSN cores can be licensed royalty-free as synthesizable RTL or targeted FPGA netlists. Reference designs, testbenches, and software stacks are also available to accelerate evaluation and development efforts.
System developers can see technical details, including sample implementation results, on the CAST website, or email CAST to discuss project requirements.
