Press release – Meyreuil, France – February 18, 2026 — Presto Engineering, a leader in ASIC design and supply, today announces the appointment of Charles Hosono as Chief Executive Officer. He succeeds Cédric Mayor, who is stepping down to pursue new projects after contributing to the company’s development for nearly 16 years.

Charles Hosono: Leading-edge international and industrial expertise

Charles Hosono brings over 30 years of experience in the global semiconductor industry to Presto, alongside a proven track record of supporting high-growth international companies. He began his career as a radio frequency (RF) integrated circuit design engineer before holding sales and marketing leadership roles at NXP (formerly Philips Semiconductors) and Infineon Technologies.

A recognized expert in business growth and organizational structuring, Charles Hosono notably contributed to the success of leveraged buyout operations at Linxens as Global VP of Sales and Marketing and President of the Asia-Pacific region. With a robust international background, Charles spent nearly 15 years in Asia between Singapore and Shanghai, providing him with a global perspective on semiconductor market challenges.

“I am truly proud of everything we have achieved alongside the Presto teams over the last 16 years” stated Cédric Mayor regarding the transition. “I am handing over the reins to Charles today to dedicate myself to new projects, with the certainty that Presto is in excellent hands for its next phase of development.”

“I thank Cédric for his accomplishments and commitment to Presto. Charles joins us today with the ideal profile to lead this new growth phase,” explained Thierry Coloigner, Co-CEO of Dentressangle. “Our ambitions for Presto are high: in a world where semiconductors are central to all strategic challenges, we are determined to make Presto the undisputed ‘one-stop shop’ for ASICs.”

Becoming Europe’s leading ASIC “One-Stop Shop”

The arrival of Charles Hosono marks a new growth phase for Presto, highlighted by the recent acquisition of UK-based GF Micro. This integration solidifies Presto Engineering’s position as the partner of choice for OEMs seeking to accelerate innovation—from ASIC design to the delivery of finished products—in key sectors such as healthcare, industrial, robotics, aerospace, and communications.

“Cédric and the Presto team have done remarkable work. Presto possesses unique expertise and innovation capacity, illustrated by its participation in a photonics project with Scintil, which are rare assets in the market,” declared Charles Hosono. “Our goal is clear: to combine design agility and industrial excellence to make Presto the preferred partner for OEMs.”

Under the leadership of its new CEO, Presto aims to become Europe’s essential ASIC “one-stop shop,” mastering the entire value chain: from design and industrialization to production management and the development of test programs for finished chips. Charles Hosono will accelerate both organic and external growth to meet Presto’s high ambitions.
