According to sources, chipmaker Qualcomm is laying off today a few dozen of employees in the company’s development center in Israel. The layoffs are part of a worldwide cutback of 15% of its total work force that was announced by the company in July 2015 to help the company save $1.4B.
The company could not be immediately reached for comment.

In September 2015 Qualcomm laid off 120 employees in Israel that we been part of the acquisition of the British CSR last October for $2.5B.
In December 2014 Qualcomm closed its operations center in Beit Shemesh and laid off 30-40 employees. The facility was based on the activities of start-up ISkoot acquired by Qualcomm in 2010 for 80 million.
