Green Mountain Semiconductor Inc is a privately-held organization expert at designing highly performing custom memories and compute-in-memory architectures for AI applications. Our know-how is based on deep roots in Memory Design (DRAM, SRAM, Emerging NVM), combined with fundamental research performed since 2016 on implementing ultra-low power in-memory neural networks for autonomous AI inferencing.
After carefully selecting the related memory technologies and the corresponding foundry, GMS brings compelling value throughout the whole process, from the design scope assessment phase to the architecture, circuit design, simulation, layout, integration and application specific optimization stages.
GMS is able to develop custom compute-in-memory architectures from the ground up, based on deep roots in Memory Design (DRAM, SRAM, Emerging NVM). combined with fundamental research on ultra-low power in-memory neural networks for autonomous AI inferencing since 2016. After carefully selecting the related memory technologies and the corresponding foundry, GMS brings compelling value throughout the whole process, from the design scope assessment phase to the architecture, circuit design, simulation, layout, integration and application specific optimization stages.
GMS is a one-stop shop for designing custom products from the ground up on dedicated foundries, working as deep as at the transistor level in order to reach a specific set of constraints.
GMS can assist in the development and qualification of emerging memories, let it be volatile or non-volatile, at different stages. This encompasses a whole set of services, such as
-designing a full memory chip
-developing prototypes
-defining test structures for CMOS+X architectures
-bringing high-Speed Interfaces IP to the memory chip
-enabling 3D integration towards HBM products.
Green Mountain Semiconductor is able to design custom circuits, whenever commercial off the shelf chips do not match the requirements. We provide expertise and support to bring foundries’ PDK to maturity whenever needed, and we also develop new innovative design methodologies to optimize the specific parameters relevant to the application.
GMS has the experience to design high speed PHY interfaces for general purpose data transfer based on its expertise around memories, while adhering to the well-known and well defined standards, for instance the ones specified by JEDEC. It developed a family of secondary LPDDR4/4X/5 PHY as well as SPI/QPI for instance.
GMS has a track record in advanced technology nodes such as 7nm TSMC.
