Can anybody help to explain how a temperature sensor inside a chip works?

    Hi PP,

Embedded temperature sensors sense the substrate or die temperature through a number of possible mechanisms, the most common of these is with use of a bipolar or diode junction.

Now in their 5th generation, Moortec Temperature Sensors allow for device performance optimisation, increased reliability and device characterisation, offering support for Dynamic Voltage & Frequency Scaling (DVFS).

We specialise in the design and delivery of high accuracy, highly featured embedded Process, Voltage and Temperature (PVT) sensors on 28nm and FinFET.
