Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is seeking an experienced ASIC Test Development Engineer for a hybrid role, requiring in-office work two days a week. This position focuses on developing testability solutions for ASICs, memory, and 2.5D SiPs, contributing to product development and manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop test strategies and Design-for-Test (DFT) solutions for ASICs and 2.5D SiPs to ensure high test coverage.
- Collaborate with hardware engineering and supplier development teams during Pre-P0 development.
- Work with design teams to enable DFT features in ASICs and validate them on ATE.
- Create innovative DFT IP in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Resolve high DPPM ASIC issues at EMS partner sites with component engineers.
- Participate in test standard working groups (IEEE 1149, 1687, P1838, JC-42).
- Act as a trusted advisor on ASIC testability across various teams from ASIC kick-off to production release.
- Identify and address structural vs functional test coverage gaps and integrate new fault models.
- Demonstrate innovation through patents, technical papers, and conference presentations.
- Oversee ASIC test requirements, phase exit validation, and manufacturability objectives.
- Influence supplier testing to implement favorable manufacturability modes.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in testability and DFT for ASICs, memories, and 2.5D SiPs.
- Expertise in DFT techniques such as MBIST, IOBIST, LBIST, JTAG, scan/ATPG, and 1687.
- Experience in ASIC DFT implementation, post-silicon validation, and diagnostic integration.
- Familiarity with semiconductor test challenges for high-performance ASICs, TSV, HBM DRAM, and 3D ICs.
