Job Description:

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking an engineer to focus on the functional verification of System-on-Chip (SoC) and IP modules. The role involves applying ASIC verification techniques to ensure chip designs meet various requirements, including performance and low power consumption. The engineer will develop verification plans, design test cases, and utilize EDA tools and languages such as SystemVerilog and UVM for simulations and debugging.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute verification plans for SoC and IP modules.
  • Design test cases and utilize EDA tools for simulations and debugging.
  • Verify low-power designs using Unified Power Format (UPF).
  • Collaborate with team members to create architectures and circuit specifications.
  • Evaluate design and verification workflows, including timing and power use.
  • Prepare technical documentation for EDA/IP/ASIC projects, including verification reports.
  • Participate in design reviews and project meetings, providing insights and recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

Skills:

  • Solid understanding of ASIC verification techniques.
  • Proficiency in SystemVerilog and UVM.
  • Familiarity with EDA tools and applications (e.g., RTL to GDS Flow, Virtuoso).
  • Knowledge of semiconductor materials and fabrication processes.
  • Ability to analyze verification failures and support design improvements.
