GPU Design Verification Engineer

Job Description:

Intel is seeking an experienced verification engineer to perform functional verification of graphics logic components, including 3D graphics, media, and display. The role involves developing scalable verification plans and test benches, executing verification plans, and collaborating with various teams to ensure design specifications are met. The position is based in Santa Clara, California, with additional locations in Folsom and Hillsboro, Oregon.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform functional verification of graphics logic components to ensure design meets specifications.
  • Define and develop scalable and reusable IP verification plans and test benches.
  • Execute verification plans and run system simulation models to verify design and analyze power and timing.
  • Replicate, root cause, and debug issues in the presilicon environment.
  • Implement corrective measures to resolve failing tests.
  • Collaborate with GPU architects, RTL developers, and physical design teams to improve verification processes.
  • Document test plans and drive technical reviews with design and architecture teams.
  • Maintain and improve existing functional verification infrastructure and methodology.
  • Participate in defining verification infrastructure and related TFMs for functional design verification.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electronics, computer engineering, or related field with 4+ years of experience in silicon design development, or a Master's degree with 3+ years of experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience in test bench bring-up at IP level and strong programming skills in System Verilog, OVM, and UVM.
  • Hands-on verification experience with ASIC, CPU, or GPU.
  • Experience in test plan development at IP level with coverage closures.

Skills:

  • Understanding of graphics architecture.
  • Experience with industry-standard frontend design and verification flows, tools, and methodologies.
  • Scripting skills in shell, PERL, and Python.
