Job Description:
Raytheon is seeking a Sr. Principal Electro-Mechanical Engineer for its RF Microelectronics/Module Design & Foundry Services Department in Andover, MA. This role involves developing advanced miniaturized 3DHI sensors and systems, contributing to innovative solutions in microelectronics. The successful candidate will engage in all phases of product development, from concept to delivery, while ensuring compliance with established procedures and maintaining strong communication with program leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Develop advanced microelectronics packages including 3DHI, 3D, and 2.5D designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional hardware engineering teams to create novel material and process solutions for RF, digital, mixed-signal, and photonics products.
- Leverage industry-leading manufacturing techniques to enhance electro-mechanical performance and reliability.
- Follow established procedures to create technical data package work products.
- Engage in research efforts and technology demonstrations, contributing fresh ideas to the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience (or an advanced degree counting for 3 years of experience).
- Experience in circuit layout design using 2D CAD tools.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
Skills:
- Experience in RF circuit design and 3D EM simulation tools (e.g., HFSS).
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD tools (e.g., Cadence Virtuoso, Allegro/APD+).
- Familiarity with semiconductor wafer processing and finishing techniques.
- Strong background in electronic product development, including documentation, fabrication, assembly, and testing.
- Proficiency in 3D Mechanical CAD modeling and analysis tools (e.g., Solidworks, Creo).
- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance analysis.
