Silicon Validation Engineer, HBM, Google Cloud

Join Google's AI and Infrastructure team as a key contributor to the development of cutting-edge TPU technology that powers AI/ML applications. This role focuses on the validation and debugging of high-bandwidth memory (HBM) subsystems, ensuring the reliability and performance of custom silicon solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed silicon test plans based on design specifications and cross-functional coordination.
• Implement test plans by creating software tests and flows for system validation and verification.
• Triage and debug issues found during new product development and propose solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience in ASIC bring-up, functional and performance validation, or debugging failures.
• Experience scripting in Python or a similar programming language.
• Master's degree or PhD in a related field is preferred.
• 2 years of experience with C++/Python software design principles.

Skills:

• Experience with high-power ASICs and memory systems.
• Familiarity with hardware description languages (SystemVerilog) and chip design flow.
• Ability to build test automation tools and scripts.
• Passion for unusual computer architectures.
