Responsibilities:

  • Setup hardware for remote/local test execution and user-defined workloads in the DPEG validation lab.
  • Troubleshoot and debug various system, firmware, or software issues while maintaining development systems.
  • Reproduce issues and validate fixes identified by platform leads and chief engineers.
  • Provide logs and statistics to assist in further debugging of issues.
  • Integrate automated testing in a CI/CD environment (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible).
  • Utilize a managed ticketing system and communicate clearly about tasks and activities.

Qualifications:

  • Proven test bench setup experience with expertise in embedded systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret board schematics.
  • Software programming and scripting experience (Python, bash, C/C++) in Windows and Linux environments.
  • Experience in PC/server hardware and software setup and administration.
  • Basic networking skills.
  • Excellent soldering skills.
  • Experience with hardware and software fault detection and management.
  • Experience with power supply monitoring and sequencing.
  • Proficient in power electronics fundamentals, especially multiphase power converters.
  • Ability to work with oscilloscopes, multi-meters, current probes, electronic loads, and protocol analyzers.

Skills:

  • Proficient in documenting experimental results in a structured manner.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware (CPU/APU, graphic cards, memory, bus logic, display technologies) and software architecture (driver/bios).
  • Ability to set up hardware and build computer systems.
  • Logic-based decision making for triage/debug.
  • Test automation expertise using Perl/Tcl/Python/LabView.
  • Familiarity with low-speed industry standard protocols (I2C, Redfish, IPMI, SPI, I3C, SVI2, SVI3) and high-speed protocols (PCIe Gen 5).
