Job Description:

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking an ASIC & FPGA Associate Engineering Manager to lead a talented team in the Silicon Solutions division. This role focuses on managing SOC, ASIC, and FPGA projects, ensuring successful execution of microchip solutions tailored to customer needs. The position is based in Sunnyvale, Denver, or Highlands Ranch, CO, and requires full-time in-office work with a flexible 9x80 schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of ASIC/FPGA design and verification engineers.
  • Oversee multiple projects, effectively delegating technical and project responsibilities.
  • Ensure project completion within +/- 10% of schedule and budget using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Utilize Earned Value Measurement System (EVMS) for project communication.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Capture and negotiate project scope, requirements, and budgets.
  • Write technical proposals and summarize them for customer presentations.
  • Manage subcontractor relationships and contracts for Silicon Solutions.
  • Assist in developing processes for customer and contractor engagements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 9+ years of professional experience in SOC, ASIC, or FPGA design and verification.
  • Prior experience in program or project management.
  • Willingness to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of SOC/ASIC/FPGA design and verification methods.
  • Ability to build relationships with hardware and software teams.
  • Sound business acumen for technical proposals.
  • Experience in recruiting top talent for engineering teams.
  • Project management mentorship skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, and Atlassian JIRA.
