Job Description:
SRI International's Microcircuit Emulation Center (MEC) in Princeton, NJ is seeking an IC Design Engineer to support the manufacturing of microcircuits through its Generalized Emulation of Microcircuits (GEM) program. This role involves providing replacements for obsolete microcircuits, ensuring production, redesign, and sustainment for weapon systems. The position is fully on-site, and relocation benefits are not available.
Responsibilities:
- Design, simulate, and verify analog circuits.
- Review specifications and requirements to determine appropriate designs to emulate original parts.
- Design and verify analog circuits, including OpAmps, Comparators, and Regulators.
- Support layout engineers with macro cell layout and ensure correct post-layout functionality.
- Collaborate with test engineers to develop characterization and qualification tests.
Qualifications:
- BS in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of experience in designing analog or mixed signal circuits; OR a Master's in Electrical Engineering with thesis and 6 years of experience.
- US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.
- Ability to work on-site at SRI office in Princeton, NJ.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Skills:
- Broad knowledge of analog design covering various product types.
- Experience with designing using (5V to 40V) Bipolar, BiCMOS, and CMOS processes.
- Proficiency in designing Amplifiers, Comparators, and/or Regulators.
- Experience in design verification and interfacing with layout, test, and process engineers.
- Analytical and systematic teamwork approach to troubleshooting.
