Job Description:
Quest Defense Systems and Solutions is at the forefront of innovation, seeking a Senior FPGA Verification Architect with strong UVM expertise to lead verification activities for aerospace development projects. This role emphasizes technical oversight, compliance with UVM methodology, and DO-254 objectives, while fostering a culture of excellence and creativity in engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Audit and provide technical oversight on UVM methodology and testbench architecture.
- Review verification strategies, test plans, and coverage models for alignment with requirements.
- Identify gaps and recommend corrective actions in UVM processes and workflows.
- Assess coverage closure metrics and report findings to teams.
- Guide distributed teams on UVM best practices and debugging techniques.
- Review and assess DO-254 compliance documentation and verification plans.
- Participate in formal reviews as an independent technical reviewer.
- Audit verification artifacts for consistency with DO-254 objectives.
- Contribute to simulation, debugging, and testbench enhancements as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- 10+ years of experience in FPGA/ASIC verification, preferably in aerospace.
- Significant experience in independent technical reviews and compliance assessments.
- Deep expertise in System Verilog and UVM, including architecture-level design of UVM environments.
- Strong understanding of DO-254 and requirements-based testing.
Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of UVM mechanics and ability to architect UVM test benches.
- Strong communication skills for delivering findings and recommendations.
- Self-motivated and proactive, comfortable with remote collaboration.
- Experience with Questasim and advanced simulation methodologies.
