Job Description:
SRI’s Integrated Systems & Solutions (InSyS) Division is seeking an Analog IC Design Engineer for its Center for Advanced Imaging. This role is crucial for advancing imaging technologies in commercial, government, and military markets, focusing on silicon CMOS, CCD, III-V, and ROIC-based products. The engineer will collaborate with senior designers to define architecture, design circuit components, and support inter-team collaboration, all aimed at delivering innovative solutions for a smarter, safer, and more sustainable world.
Responsibilities:
- Defining architecture for analog IC designs
- Designing, modeling, and laying out circuit components
- Monitoring and summarizing progress of various collaborating teams
Qualifications:
- PhD in Analog/Mixed-Signal IC design, or MS with 3+ years of experience, or BS with 5+ years of experience
- US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required
- Solid understanding and experience in analog and mixed-signal CMOS circuits
Skills:
- Knowledge of analog circuits such as bandgap, OpAmps, comparators, filters, ADC, DAC, PLL, and high-speed IO cells
- Experience with Cadence Virtuoso Schematic Editor, Layout Editor, and Spectre/APS SPICE simulators
- Experience in analog IC layout addressing DRC, LVS, matching, shielding, electromigration, IR drops, and power/ground bouncing issues
- Familiarity with VerilogA/AMS behavioral modeling
- Familiarity with switched-C circuit design
- Familiarity with CMOS image sensor design
- Strong communication skills for client interactions and presentations
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
