Job Description:

Collins Aerospace is seeking a motivated Senior Electrical or Computer Engineer to join the Product Enabling Technologies team in El Segundo, CA. This role involves the design, implementation, verification, and integration of high-performance digital ASICs and FPGAs for signal processing and information assurance products. Candidates must possess an active U.S. government issued SECRET security clearance and be U.S. citizens.

Responsibilities:

  • Capture requirements and design ASIC/FPGA digital architecture using RTL.
  • Perform timing closure, verification, and system integration.
  • Recommend new tools and practices for continuous improvement in ASIC/FPGA design flow.
  • Contribute to engineering estimates for new program pursuits.
  • Provide technical leadership for project design teams, including planning activities and reporting status.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with a minimum of 3 years experience.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued SECRET security clearance required prior to start date.

Skills:

  • RTL coding and simulation in VHDL or Verilog.
  • Digital circuit architecture and design, including timing analysis and closure.
  • Testbench development for RTL verification using VHDL or System Verilog.
  • Proficiency with ASIC/FPGA simulation and synthesis tools (e.g., Modelsim, Synplify, Quartus, Vivado).
  • Familiarity with revision control concepts and tools (e.g., Git, Subversion).
