Job Description:

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking a skilled engineer to join its GPU ASICS Engineering team. The role involves architecting, designing, implementing, verifying, and optimizing GPU cores, with a focus on performance and power efficiency. The engineer will be responsible for verification of Graphics IP and conducting pre- and post-silicon verification to ensure that performance and power goals are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and execute key independent tasks towards program requirements.
  • Communicate day-to-day activities effectively to knowledgeable team members.
  • Work within timelines and resource constraints.
  • Apply creative problem-solving to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Engage with interdisciplinary teams for research and collaboration.
  • Utilize deductive reasoning to solve moderately complex problems.
  • Architect, design, implement, and verify GPU hardware and software.
  • Create and maintain verification test benches in System Verilog/UVM.
  • Develop advanced testing frameworks for real-world system integration.
  • Collaborate with various teams to define test methodologies and content.
  • Participate in GPU architecture and micro-architecture reviews.
  • Collect and execute system-level test content including benchmarks and compliance tests.
  • Automate continuous integration and testing for GPU IP.
  • Analyze test results to track benchmarks and identify issues.
  • Align with team members on feature development and targets.
  • Write technical documentation and feature descriptions under supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree with 1+ year of experience; or a PhD in a related field.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of GPU architecture and design principles.
  • Proficiency in System Verilog and UVM for verification.
  • Experience with graphics testing tools and methodologies.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
