Job Description:

MACOM is a leading designer and manufacturer of semiconductor products for Data Center, Telecommunication, and Industrial and Defense applications, headquartered in Lowell, Massachusetts. With over 75 years of expertise, MACOM operates multiple design centers and manufacturing facilities globally, offering foundry services and a comprehensive product portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Design mixed-signal and RFIC components using Silicon and Silicon Germanium technology.
  • Own the full silicon design lifecycle from concept to release.
  • Simulate and design IC circuits based on device models and design rules.
  • Conduct RF layout and EM simulation.
  • Collaborate within a multi-disciplined project team.
  • Contribute throughout the product development and release cycle.

Qualifications:

  • MSEE with a minimum of 3 years' experience or BSEE with a minimum of 5 years' experience in semiconductor design.
  • Hands-on product characterization experience in a lab setting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global team environment.
  • Good planning and organizational skills.

Skills:

  • In-depth understanding of RF/Microwave/Silicon IC Design processes such as SOI, RF CMOS, SiGe BiPolar, and BiCMOS.
  • Expertise in Cadence Virtuoso and ADS.
  • Familiarity with wideband optical drivers, trans-impedance amplifiers, and analog circuits like LDOs and DACs.
  • Experience with EM simulation and RC extraction tools.
  • Understanding of RF/MW systems and specification tradeoffs.
