Job Description:

Join Apple’s Wireless Power Technology team as an Applications Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in developing and integrating innovative validation methodologies for wireless power module ICs. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that fosters creativity and collaboration, contributing to the creation of state-of-the-art wireless charging technologies for Apple products like the iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive ASIC test plan and design evaluation boards.
  • Create ASIC test automation scripts and execute bench validations.
  • Present results to cross-functional teams and ensure high-quality validation by IC vendors.
  • Support firmware teams and silicon/system architecture teams in integrating ASICs into Apple products.
  • Run bench experiments, debug silicon-related issues, and conduct IC failure analysis.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of industry experience in IC validation, applications, or design.
  • Experience validating power management ICs or wireless charging ASICs.
  • Familiarity with validating ADCs and DACs.
  • Proficient in using USB, I2C, SPI, SPMI, UART, JTAG, LVDS interfaces.
  • Strong knowledge of Python for test automation and GUI development.
  • Ability to write and debug C/C++ code.
  • Experience with design simulation tools like Pspice, Simplis, or Simetrix is a plus.
  • Solid EE fundamentals in analog and digital circuit design, focusing on Power Electronics.

Skills:

  • Experience with test equipment such as Power Supply, DMM, Oscilloscope, Electronic Load, Signal Generator, Network Analyzer, Impedance Analyzer.
  • Strong programming skills in Python.
