The Digital Design ASIC R&D Manager role is situated within Keysight Laboratories, a renowned organization focused on delivering cutting-edge digital and mixed-signal ASICs. Responsibilities:
- Set and drive the technical strategy for digital IP, block-level design, verification, and full-chip integration.
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing organization of architects, RTL designers, and verification engineers.
- Own program delivery from concept through tapeout and into productization, managing resources and schedules.
- Influence outcomes across the silicon ecosystem by collaborating with various engineering teams and partners.
- Establish and enforce quality and signoff discipline, including design reviews and verification closure.
- Build a world-class team by recruiting top talent and managing performance and career growth.
- Manage the operating model for the team, including budget ownership and vendor selection.
- Drive continuous improvement in productivity and predictability through design flows and automation.
Qualifications:
- B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of digital IC/ASIC development experience with a focus on technical leadership.
- Strong hands-on experience in RTL micro-architecture and implementation, synthesis, and timing closure.
Skills:
- Deep expertise in modern verification methodologies and techniques.
- Knowledge of the full silicon lifecycle and cross-functional handoffs.
- Proven ability to deliver complex programs to tapeout and manage dependencies.
- Proficiency with industry-standard EDA environments and productivity scripting.
- Executive-level communication skills and strong stakeholder management.
- Sound judgment under schedule pressure with a focus on quality.
