Job Description:

Boeing is seeking multiple Entry Level ASIC/FPGA Design Engineers to join the Electronic Products team in Mountain View, CA. This role involves developing advanced digital ICs and SoCs for critical aerospace and defense programs, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop FPGA/ASIC designs supporting design and/or verification teams.
  • Implement FPGA/ASIC designs using the latest practices and tools, from micro-architecture to physical design realization.
  • Integrate DSP IP from Boeing’s algorithm team and third-party IP as needed.
  • Perform static timing analysis, LEC, CDC, linting, and other necessary checks to ensure timely design completion.
  • Develop Functional Coverage Models and perform Code Coverage to verify designs in simulation.
  • Create self-checking and reusable test benches using Object Oriented Programming concepts and UVM.
  • Support FPGA-based prototyping and validation based on program requirements.
  • Validate designs through hardware integration tests with specialized equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance; US Citizenship required.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent.
  • Coursework, projects, or internship experience in ASIC/FPGA design or verification.
  • Familiarity with Register Transfer Language (Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog).

Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering preferred.
  • Experience with hardware emulators, especially Palladium.
  • Proficiency in hardware verification languages: System Verilog, System Verilog Assertions.
  • Ability to execute test plans and create self-checking testbenches.
  • Experience developing Functional Coverage Models and Closing Code Coverage.
  • Familiarity with high-speed Serdes interfaces (JESD204C, PCIe, Ethernet).
  • Proficient in scripting languages (Make, Perl, Python).
  • Experience with revision control systems (svn, cvs, git).
  • Proficient in Linux environments.
  • Familiarity with space-based design techniques and radiation mitigation.
