Entry Level Digital Physical Design Engineer

NXP is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Junior Engineer, contributing to physical design activities and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance design quality. This role is ideal for recent graduates or those graduating soon in relevant engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to physical design activities including layout implementation, checks, and design data preparation under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Assist with timing, power, quality, or rule-check related tasks using standard engineering tools and methods.
• Collaborate with design, verification, and methodology teams to resolve routine issues and improve design quality.
• Document design flows, results, and lessons learned for project use.
• Support structured execution, technical learning, and successful project milestones.

Qualifications:

• Recent Bachelor’s/Master’s degree (or graduating soon) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related discipline, within the past two years.
• Hands-on experience from lab work, design projects, internships, coursework, or student competitions is a plus.

Skills:

• Familiarity with role-related engineering, design, verification, programming, or lab tools; willingness to learn quickly is important.
• Strong foundation in engineering fundamentals, problem solving, testing, and technical documentation.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical ideas clearly.
• Good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
