Responsibilities:
- Architect and design high-power AC and DC systems for consumer and commercial EV chargers.
- Collaborate with engineers to develop high-power AC to DC and DC to DC converters.
- Design advanced soft switching multi-level converters and grid-tie inverters compliant with regulations.
- Oversee all aspects of product design including modeling, component selection, schematic capture, PCB layout, and thermal design.
- Utilize various power topologies and modeling tools to create efficient designs.
- Work with cross-functional teams to resolve design and testing challenges.
- Ensure product reliability under stress conditions.
Qualifications:
- M.S. in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, or Electronics); PhD preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in power electronics product development.
- Strong electrical/electronic design skills and understanding of system-level engineering tradeoffs.
- Experience in AC/DC and DC/DC power conversion systems.
Skills:
- Ability to drive solutions across software, mechanical, power, and thermal domains.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including mechanical, software, and testing.
- Current knowledge of industry standards for consumer and industrial products.
- Familiarity with EV charging standards is a plus.
