Job Description:

Amazon Leo is launching a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites to provide high-speed broadband connectivity to underserved communities globally. We are seeking a Senior RF ATE Engineer to join our innovative team, focusing on RFIC high-volume production test methodologies for custom silicon.

Responsibilities:

  • Write test plans and programs for mm-wave SoCs using Teradyne and Advantest equipment.
  • Collaborate with design teams to apply design for test principles for manufacturability.
  • Define load board, socket, and probe card designs to address signal/power integrity issues.
  • Architect high-volume test solutions to optimize total test costs.
  • Identify and resolve test-related issues throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Optimize and standardize test methodologies to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
  • Work with lab bench mm-wave test systems to correlate results with ATE.
  • Define test plans and limits for various production lots.
  • Develop RF and high-speed digital die probing techniques to improve yield accuracy.
  • Interact with suppliers for wafer test, final test, and qualification.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical/communications engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in silicon RF Test or RF Product Engineering.
  • Up to 30% international travel required.

Skills:

  • Master's or PhD in Electrical/Communications Engineering preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • 7+ years of experience in mm-wave or RF validation engineering for high-volume consumer devices.
  • Strong technical background in RF, mm-wave, and high-speed digital ATE hardware development.
  • Experience with PCB design/layout for mm-wave and high-speed signals.
  • Proficient in running firmware on DUTs to enhance test efficiency.
  • Knowledge of RF measurements and automation using Python and MATLAB.
  • Familiarity with RF test equipment like network analyzers and oscilloscopes.
  • Experience in high-volume automated testing of beamforming systems.
  • Understanding of digital and SERDES test techniques.
  • Knowledge of production control processes and statistical analysis tools.
  • Experience in new product transition from design to high-volume manufacturing.
