Responsibilities:
- Verify designs of AMD's next-generation Data Center network products using the latest UVM standard.
- Develop comprehensive test plans to ensure coverage closure.
- Collaborate with architects, hardware engineers, and firmware engineers to understand new features to be verified.
- Build test plan documentation considering interactions with hardware, firmware, and software driver use cases.
- Estimate time required for writing new feature tests and changes to the test environment.
- Create directed and random verification tests.
- Debug test failures to identify root causes and work with RTL and firmware engineers to resolve design defects.
- Review functional and code coverage metrics and modify or add tests to meet coverage requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Proficient in IP level ASIC verification.
- Experience in debugging firmware and RTL code using simulation tools.
- Skilled in developing UVM/SV testbenches.
- Familiarity with Verilog, System Verilog, C, and C++.
- Experience with PCIe and/or Ethernet protocols.
- Knowledge of automating workflows in a distributed compute environment.
- Exposure to simulation profile and efficiency improvement.
- Scripting language experience in Python, Ruby, Makefile, or shell preferred.
- Leadership or mentorship experience is an asset.
