Job Description:
Lockheed Martin Space is seeking an ASIC & FPGA Design Engineer to join their central engineering division in Littleton, CO. This role involves supporting over 50 programs across various sectors, including military and civil space, missile defense, and deep space exploration. The position requires full-time onsite work with a flexible 9x80 schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Work with low SWaP, radiation hardened, space rated devices.
- Perform all aspects of ASIC and FPGA development from initial requirements capture through architecture, design, analysis, simulations, and testing in a Linux-based high-performance computing environment.
- Support technical reviews and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
- Interface with an independent verification team to verify designs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
- 3+ years of professional experience in FPGA and/or ASIC design.
- Experience in the ASIC/FPGA lifecycle including architecture, design, simulation, verification, validation, integration, and testing.
- HDL programming experience with VHDL, Verilog, and/or SystemVerilog.
- Lab experience in bringing up FPGA and EE/Software integration.
Skills:
- Knowledge of space-grade/qualified FPGAs.
- Experience with MS Project and JIRA.
- Familiarity with Linux drivers, NVM (NAND/MRAM), Flash Management, and Ethernet protocols.
- Experience designing with AMD Versal and Microchip RTG4 FPGAs.
- Lab testing experience.
