Job Description:

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced engineer to oversee the design, verification, and documentation of various CMOS mixed analog/digital blocks. This role involves determining architecture design and circuit specifications based on system-level requirements, with a focus on data converters, PLLs, filters, voltage regulators, and more. The engineer will engage in all design aspects, from system definition to silicon evaluation, utilizing tools like Cadence ADE and MATLAB.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee definition, design, verification, and documentation for CMOS mixed analog/digital blocks.
  • Determine architecture design and circuit specifications based on system-level requirements.
  • Engage in all aspects of design from system definition/simulation to circuit design and simulation.
  • Oversee layout and silicon evaluation processes.
  • Build and improve architecture and circuit designs using advanced tools or databases.
  • Define verification plans and run complex simulations and analyses on designs.
  • Design, program, and run complex tests; review tests of junior team members.
  • Consult with internal/external users and vendors to ensure alignment with needs and goals.
  • Write clear technical documentation and design descriptions for complex projects.
  • Conduct research on industry trends in analog or mixed-signal integrated circuit design.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with 2+ years of experience in analog or mixed-signal integrated circuit design, or a Master's degree with 4+ years, or a PhD with 2+ years of experience.
  • 2+ years of experience using design tools such as CADENCE, SPICE, MATLAB, and/or Verilog/VHDL.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of analog/mixed-signal integrated circuit design.
  • Proficiency in using design tools like Cadence ADE and MATLAB.
  • Ability to conduct complex simulations and analyses.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills with deductive and inductive reasoning.
