Job Description:

The ASIC Engineer at Nextivity is responsible for designing ASIC and FPGA components for Cel-Fi products, collaborating with various engineering teams to ensure successful architecture and system validation. This role involves supporting ASIC/FPGA development efforts, including synthesis, timing constraints, and low-level testing on prototyping platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Verification and validation of ASIC and FPGA for Cel-Fi products.
  • Support cross-functional teams during product development.
  • Proactively identify and address potential issues early in the process.
  • Ensure timely delivery of projects.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 to 15 years of ASIC/FPGA design experience.
  • Proven track record of successful ASIC tape-outs, preferably as a technical chip leader.
  • Experience with multiple FPGA designs for prototyping and products.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.

Skills:

  • Proficient in System Verilog and scripting languages (Perl, awk, sed).
  • Experience with GIT version control and Cadence tools (simulator, linter, code coverage).
  • Familiarity with Intel FPGA tools (Quartus) and ASIC timing analysis tools (Prime Time).
  • Basic knowledge of C for writing test code for validation.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
