ASIC/FPGA Design Engineer V

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking an experienced ASIC/FPGA Design Engineer to join their Silicon Solutions team in Cambridge, MA. This role involves developing advanced avionics products in a dynamic Integrated Product Development environment, focusing on low SWaP, radiation-hardened devices. The position requires full-time onsite work and offers a flexible 9x80 schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Develop ASIC and FPGA designs from initial requirements through architecture, design, analysis, simulations, and testing.
• Work with low SWaP, radiation-hardened, space-rated devices.
• Support technical reviews and present findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with an independent verification team to ensure design integrity.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of professional experience in ASIC/FPGA design.
• US Citizenship required to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Skills:

• Experience with FPGA and digital ASIC design.
• Proficiency in HDL programming (VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog).
• Familiarity with Linux development environments.
• Knowledge of space-grade FPGAs and ASICs, including AMD/Xilinx Vivado or Microchip Libero.
• Experience with project management tools like MS Project or JIRA.
