ATE Engineer-5

We are seeking an experienced ATE Engineer for a contract position in Hauppauge, NY. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in test system software and hardware development, particularly in the aerospace and avionics sectors. This role requires a strong background in automated test equipment development and a solid understanding of various communication protocols and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and upgrade automated test equipment for production testing of mixed-signal products and sub-assemblies.
• Integrate third-party hardware with NI PXI and PCI hardware systems.
• Manage software code repositories and implement Continuous Integration/Deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot and calibrate new test systems, ensuring compliance with MIL-STD and IEC standards.
• Conduct failure analysis and provide solutions in a production environment.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in test system software and hardware development.
• Experience in avionics and aerospace programs is a plus.
• Must be a US Citizen and able to handle ITAR data.

Skills:

• Expertise in NI LabVIEW, Test Stand, and Python.
• Strong knowledge of common I/O protocols (I2C, SPI, JTAG, RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, Arinc 429, MIL-STD-1553).
• Hands-on experience with test bench equipment such as multimeters, DAQs, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers.
• Familiarity with communication standards like RS422/RS232, ARINC, AFDX, TCP/IP, and Ethernet.
