Job Description:
Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking an Engineer I - Design to join its Networking and Connectivity Solutions Business Unit. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to advanced connectivity devices, including Ethernet switches, USB hubs, and PCIe bridges, within a supportive and innovative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in design, FPGA, DFT, synthesis, and other design activities including micro-architecture and documentation.
- Integrate IP modules, design RTL blocks, and glue logic while interfacing with verification and emulation teams.
- Perform development activities such as formal verification, clock domain crossing analysis, static timing analysis, and low power design.
- Design custom digital IPs and debug emulation (ASIC and FPGA) of the IP and solution.
- Develop block level test plan documentation based on datasheets and requirements.
- Learn and dynamically apply knowledge of SoC, protocols, and standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 0+ years of relevant industry experience.
Skills:
- Knowledge of Ethernet, USB, and/or PCIe protocols.
- Proficient in Verilog/System Verilog.
- Understanding of ASIC design and/or verification flow.
- Strong analytical, communication (written and verbal), and documentation skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and organizational skills.
- Highly motivated and able to work in a collaborative group environment.
