Engineer I – Digital Design

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking an Engineer I - Design to join its Networking and Connectivity Solutions Business Unit. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to advanced connectivity devices, including Ethernet switches, USB hubs, and PCIe bridges, within a supportive and innovative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in design, FPGA, DFT, synthesis, and other design activities including micro-architecture and documentation.
• Integrate IP modules, design RTL blocks, and glue logic while interfacing with verification and emulation teams.
• Perform development activities such as formal verification, clock domain crossing analysis, static timing analysis, and low power design.
• Design custom digital IPs and debug emulation (ASIC and FPGA) of the IP and solution.
• Develop block level test plan documentation based on datasheets and requirements.
• Learn and dynamically apply knowledge of SoC, protocols, and standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 0+ years of relevant industry experience.

Skills:

• Knowledge of Ethernet, USB, and/or PCIe protocols.
• Proficient in Verilog/System Verilog.
• Understanding of ASIC design and/or verification flow.
• Strong analytical, communication (written and verbal), and documentation skills.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and organizational skills.
• Highly motivated and able to work in a collaborative group environment.
