Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the hardware description language (HDL) architecture for the next generation platform.
  • Participate in all phases of the FPGA development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing.
  • Apply engineering principles in developing digital design/architecture for target applications.
  • Own advanced digital architecture and design.
  • Collaborate with Systems Engineers and Program Management to decompose system-level requirements.
  • Conduct design reviews of team members' work products.
  • Work with cross-functional engineering teams to develop and evaluate hardware-software interfaces and operational performance requirements.
  • Design products and subcomponents using typical manufacturing methods.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of related experience in FPGA design and digital electronics.
  • BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent; MS preferred.
  • Strong HDL knowledge with emphasis on reusable libraries and maintainable designs.
  • Experience in developing self-checking test benches and high-speed digital electronics.
  • Familiarity with C++ RTOS embedded applications and synchronous design practices.
  • Experience with Xilinx FPGAs and SoCs, and developing specifications for digital designs.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols like I2C, SPI, PCIe, Ethernet, USB, and DDR3/4.

Skills:

  • Strong digital design skills with VHDL preferred and Verilog acceptable.
  • Experience with Xilinx Vivado and build configuration/automation.
  • Hands-on experience with Logic Analyzers and Oscilloscopes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and continuous integration/deployment (CICD).
