FPGA Development Engineer, Bespoke Solutions

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an FPGA Development Engineer to develop high-speed digital logic and integrate scalable FPGA systems within the AWS technology ecosystem. This role is based in Arlington, Virginia, as part of Amazon's significant investment in the area, which aims to create 25,000 new jobs and enhance local infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Develop custom RTL and integrate with third-party libraries for 100G+ solutions.
• Collaborate with design and system engineers to architect new solutions for customers.
• Own the interface between software and hardware by developing drivers and providing software examples.
• Participate in design meetings to plan development and review peer designs.
• Identify new opportunities and technologies to enhance customer experience.

Qualifications:

• Must be a US Citizen with an active Secret security clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

Skills:

• Experience with programmable logic and advanced FPGAs.
• Proficiency in RTL development and integration.
• Strong collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
• Ability to debug RTL in simulation and implement timing/performance requirements.
• Knowledge of hardware-software interface development.
