Front End Engineer, Device Design Team

Join Amazon’s Device Design Team as a Front End Engineer, where you will contribute to innovative software and hardware experiences powered by Alexa. This role involves designing, building, and operating web services and tooling to enhance design methodology and delivery across various product lines.

Responsibilities:

• Support the design studio with technical expertise in consumer software experiences.
• Design, build, and operate web services and tooling to advance design methodology.
• Interface with teams across multiple product lines and disciplines.
• Translate user requirements into actionable architecture and contribute code.
• Work autonomously to deliver results in ambiguous situations, particularly in building v1 products.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of professional front end, web or mobile software development experience using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• 1+ years of experience in computer science fundamentals including object-oriented design and algorithm design.
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React.
• Experience in building reusable UX components or libraries.

Skills:

• Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.
• Knowledge of agile software development methodologies.
• Understanding of software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards and testing.
