Job Description:
Rogue Space Systems is seeking a Senior Electrical and Embedded Engineer to join our innovative team. This role involves hands-on design and development of electrical sub-systems and firmware for spacecraft, from concept to production. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert, contributing to the execution of our corporate vision for space technologies while ensuring robust, flight-ready designs that meet the demands of spaceflight.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and modify electrical and embedded systems for spacecraft and its sub-systems.
- Take ownership of electrical systems, transforming ambiguous needs into well-defined solutions.
- Ensure designs transition smoothly from concept to production with minimal rework.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, providing clear explanations of designs and execution plans.
- Estimate and communicate timelines, budgets, and risks for projects.
- Create robust electrical designs that meet spaceflight demands, including power integrity and thermal constraints.
- Develop firmware that is efficient and resilient, ensuring seamless integration with hardware.
- Contribute to R&D efforts and technical strategy, influencing company direction with innovative solutions.
- Perform electrical analysis to inform design decisions and guide the team toward better outcomes.
- Share knowledge and improve engineering practices across the team.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in electrical and embedded systems design for aerospace applications.
- Strong understanding of power systems, communications, and thermal management in spacecraft.
- Experience with firmware development and integration with hardware.
- Ability to perform detailed electrical analysis and communicate findings effectively.
