Senior Staff Analog and Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer

As part of the Central Engineering business group, the Analog IC Design Senior Staff Engineer will play a crucial role in designing advanced CMOS transceiver/SERDES products, contributing to the overall success of Marvell's technology initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Design highly sophisticated CMOS transceiver/SERDES products as part of a small analog team.
• Conduct architectural investigations and implement circuits such as PLL, DLL, ADC, regulators, amplifiers, TX, RX, and CDRs.
• Perform design verification using industry-standard tools like SPICE, Spectre, and MATLAB.
• Carry out layout activities in nanometric technologies and supervise physical design.
• Work independently or with test engineers in the lab to characterize, debug, and validate designs.
• Generate design-related documents and application specifications, and support customers and FAEs as needed.
• Interface with digital and SOC teams to facilitate design integration and cross-functional verifications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields with 5-10 years of relevant experience.
• Master’s degree and/or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields with 3-5 years of experience.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of deep sub-micron CMOS technologies.
• Hands-on experience in designing mixed signal circuits including ADCs, DACs, RX, TX, PLLs, Filters, and regulators.
• Knowledge of low power and high-speed design techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in IC design CAD tools such as Spectre, Spice, MATLAB, Hsim, and Verilog.
• Lab testing skills to evaluate prototype units against design specifications.
