Job Description:

Join Apple's Silicon Engineering group to transform innovative ideas into reality by focusing on SOC power optimization automation. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance SOC power efficiency through advanced methodologies and machine learning techniques.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive automation for SOC power optimization.
  • Collaborate with SOC power team members to automate power analysis and optimization tasks.
  • Explore new methodologies to analyze power data and create metrics for optimization opportunities.
  • Implement automated approaches to improve SOC power efficiency across various IPs.
  • Research and apply machine learning solutions for power simulation, optimization, and modeling.
  • Work with team members on training data preparation for machine learning applications.
  • Deploy power optimization automation across cross-functional teams and review results for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 10 years of relevant industry experience.
  • MSEE preferred.

Skills:

  • Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and programming.
  • Proficient in scripting with Python.
  • Knowledge of ASIC power analysis and optimization.
  • Understanding of SOC design flow and methodology.
  • Familiarity with Verilog and System Verilog.
  • Knowledge of computer architecture, logic, and circuit design.
  • Experience in signal processing is a plus.
  • Experience in silicon power measurement is a plus.
  • Experience in SOC power modeling, low power design, and power optimization is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to interface with various groups.
