Job Description:
Lumilens is a pioneering startup focused on developing the photonics infrastructure essential for the next generation of AI supercomputing. With backing from Mayfield and a team of industry veterans, Lumilens aims to revolutionize optical technology from the ground up, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to transformative innovations in computing.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and design high-speed analog and mixed-signal circuits, including transmit drivers, transimpedance amplifiers, and clocking circuits.
- Perform transistor-level design, simulation, and optimization across various conditions.
- Analyze and optimize circuit performance metrics such as bandwidth, noise, linearity, jitter, stability, and power consumption.
- Collaborate with layout engineers on design aspects like floorplanning and parasitic management.
- Support silicon bring-up, characterization, and debugging, ensuring correlation with simulations.
- Contribute to design methodology and best practices for IP reuse across projects.
Qualifications:
- MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in analog or mixed-signal IC design.
- Experience with Driver, TIA, or similar analog blocks through tape-out and lab validation.
Skills:
- Strong fundamentals in feedback and stability analysis, noise and jitter modeling, and high-speed analog circuit design.
- Proficiency with industry-standard analog design and simulation tools.
- Knowledge of power integrity and substrate isolation.
