Job Description:
Amazon Leo is seeking a Sr. RTL Design Engineer – Wireless Modem to join its high-performance ASIC design team. This role focuses on developing digital chip SOCs for communications via Low Earth Orbit satellites, aiming to provide reliable internet connectivity to underserved areas.
Responsibilities:
- Implement wireless system architecture from system specification to chip validation.
- Develop solutions to optimize customer experience in terms of throughput, latency, and availability while adhering to power and cost constraints.
- Drive high-quality designs for first-time right silicon solutions, ensuring power objectives are met.
- Create standalone verification test benches to validate block correctness.
- Collaborate with the verification team for system-level verification using UVM, System C, and DPI-C.
- Ensure blocks meet DFT, timing, and power targets in collaboration with the implementation team.
- Conduct trade-off analysis to enhance customer experience and optimize resources.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Communications Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years in FPGA digital logic design, preferably in DSP or communication systems.
Skills:
- Proficiency in System Verilog and MATLAB for DSP data path module design.
- Experience in control plane logic design and bus fabric interfaces.
- Ability to mentor junior team members and lead design initiatives.
