Job Description:
Renesas Electronics is seeking an Analog Senior Staff Engineer to join its Configurable Mixed-Signal Division (CMSD). This role involves designing and verifying complex analog circuits for custom mixed-signal ASICs, contributing to the company's competitive edge in the IC market. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in analog design, particularly in high-voltage applications and power management circuits.
Responsibilities:
- Design and verify CMOS circuits to meet performance, area, power, and timescale constraints.
- Run analog/mixed signal verification simulations at block and/or chip level.
- Collaborate with project leads to define system and design strategies for custom ASICs.
- Guide layout teams to ensure quality in circuit designs.
- Produce high-quality documentation for designed circuits.
- Work with DFT engineers to align with DFT strategy and implementation.
- Drive silicon debugging and design characterization.
- Support lab evaluation and characterization for designs.
- Collaborate with test and product engineers for test development and production ramp-up.
- Proactively manage personal development plans and utilize team resources.
- Participate in design reviews and provide consulting.
- Review IC design, evaluation, characterization, and test results.
- Schedule tasks, report progress, and identify potential project issues.
Qualifications:
- Fully competent in all aspects of analog design.
- Experience in motor driver design (DC, stepper, BLDC).
- Experience in power management circuits and high voltage (BCD process).
- Experience in data acquisition and processing systems (ADC, DAC, current sensors) is a plus.
- Knowledge of modeling analog circuits and reviewing AMS simulations.
- Strong competence in EDA design tools and Cadence design environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in a multi-site, multi-cultural environment.
- Strong human relations skills to influence project outcomes based on technical knowledge.
- Ability to apply advanced methods to complex problems and understand interdisciplinary interfaces.
