Responsibilities:

  • Develop concepts and methods for EDA design environments focusing on analog/mixed signal ASIC design.
  • Evaluate, test, and validate tools while providing customer support.
  • Automate and develop utilities in Cadence SKILL/SKILL++.
  • Create Calibre/Pegasys Physical Verification decks for CMOS PLANAR technologies, including DRC, LVS, PERC, FILL LPE, and shape generation.
  • Design test circuits and structures to validate verification rules and troubleshoot errors.
  • Implement methods for quality improvement and automate deck/techFiles generation and validation.
  • Collaborate with IT to address advanced node-specific requests.
  • Support CAD/IT operations for ASIC designers globally.
  • Manage quality and ISO26262 requirements for EDA tools, both in-house and vendor products.
  • Oversee PDK libraries and facilitate migration of design environments.

Qualifications:

  • University degree (BS/MS/PhD) in electrical or computer engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in Mixed Signal CAD design flows from front to back.

Skills:

  • Deep experience with EDA tools such as Virtuoso, Quantus, Pegasys, Spectre, Calibre, StarRC, PrimeSim, Totem, Voltus.
  • Thorough understanding of Custom Analog development flows and physical verification methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Cadence Skill, Calibre SVRF/TVF, Python, and Shell scripting.
  • In-depth knowledge of PDK management and integration into CAD tools.
  • Familiarity with revision control software (Git, Perforce, Subversion, etc.).
  • Understanding of analog and mixed-signal design concepts, including matching and layout effects.
  • Bonus: Experience with AI/ML projects related to layout and design acceleration.
