Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Drive PCB fabrication DFM reviews for complex multilayer boards.
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers and PCB layout designers to ensure manufacturability and yield optimization.
  • Develop and enforce PCB fabrication design guidelines aligned with supplier capabilities.
  • Review and optimize stack-ups, material selection, and controlled impedance structures.
  • Analyze fabrication drawings and documentation for DFM compliance before release.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance fabrication yield and reliability.
  • Own process qualification and adoption of advanced PCB fabrication technologies.
  • Define technology roadmaps and implement architectural design practices for performance and cost optimization.
  • Lead root cause analysis for fabrication-related defects and implement corrective actions.
  • Support NPI builds and production ramp from a fabrication-readiness perspective.
  • Partner with supplier engineering teams to define process development plans and align schedules with program milestones.
  • Assess supplier readiness for build events and proactively identify risks.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with L6–L11 data center compute platforms or high-layer-count server motherboards.
  • Deep expertise in multilayer PCB fabrication processes.
  • Strong understanding of SI/PI-driven fabrication constraints.
  • Experience driving comprehensive PCB DFM reviews.

Skills:

  • Expertise in advanced stack-up architecture and controlled impedance design.
  • Knowledge of HDI/microvia structures and backdrilling techniques.
  • Ability to analyze copper roughness impact and power delivery integrity.
