Job Description:

Boeing is seeking multiple ASIC and/or FPGA Design and Verification Engineers to join the Boeing Electronic Products team in El Segundo or Huntington Beach, CA, with potential opportunities in Fairfax, VA. This role involves developing advanced digital ICs and SoCs for critical aerospace programs, leveraging cutting-edge technology and collaborating with global partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop FPGA/ASIC designs supporting design and/or verification teams.
  • Implement FPGA/ASIC designs using the latest practices and tools, from micro-architecture to physical design realization.
  • Integrate DSP IP from Boeing’s algorithm team and third-party IP as needed.
  • Perform static timing analysis, LEC, CDC, linting, and other necessary checks to ensure timely design completion.
  • Develop Functional Coverage Models and perform Code Coverage to verify designs in simulation.
  • Create self-checking and reusable test benches using Object Oriented Programming concepts and UVM.
  • Support FPGA-based prototyping and validation based on program requirements.
  • Validate designs through hardware integration tests with specialized equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent.
  • Experience with ASIC/FPGA design or verification.
  • Experience with architectural definition and detailed design implementation using SystemVerilog.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in hardware verification languages: System Verilog, System Verilog Assertions.
  • Ability to create self-checking and reusable testbenches from scratch.
  • Experience with high-speed Serdes interfaces (JESD204C, PCIe, Ethernet).
  • Proficient in scripting languages: Make, Perl, Python.
  • Familiarity with revision control systems: svn, cvs, git.
  • Proficient in Linux environments.
