Engineer

Qualcomm Atheros, Inc. is seeking a Bench Test Engineer for its Product and Test Engineering group within the Connectivity division. This role focuses on developing test solutions for WLAN SOCs, including characterization of various components and interfaces.

Responsibilities:

• Define and execute test methodologies for WLAN Transceivers and other components.
• Develop and execute characterization plans to optimize design parameters and validate compliance.
• Drive first silicon bring-up and debug processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams from product definition to customer release.
• Assist in hardware design and debug power integrity (PI) and signal integrity (SI) issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of industry experience in relevant areas.

Skills:

• Familiarity with lab tools such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers.
• Experience with scripting languages like C# and Python.
• Understanding and modification of LabVIEW code.
• Knowledge of cellular standards (CDMA2000, WCDMA, GSM) and wireless standards (WLAN, GPS, Bluetooth).
• Familiarity with protocols such as PCIe, USB, MIPI, and DDR.
